For our first pit stop, we ate at a Greek restaurant called Lefteris.
Anya, Sarah had a chicken gyro:
if you're curious to see anya attempt to fit a gyro in her mouth, ask me for the picture.
she'll kill me if i post it online.
anya also orders a (diet?) coke. the rest of us have water.
Viv had a shrimp Greek salad (large), which she obviously could not finish
look at that diet coke across the table mocking the waters next to it. the coke even has its own pink straw. where's MY straw, huh? WHERE?
I had Lamb on a stick. It was very good wrapped in pita.
next time i visit, i will get it again.
After lunch, we made out way to Lyndhurst. To my great disappointment it was closed. No tours were being given and I could not look inside. Furthermore, they don't let cameras inside anyway. bummer. I got lots of pictures of this historic monument from the exterior though, and will only bore you with one of them:
very beautiful site.
As if Lyndhurst being closed wasn't bad enough, we walked over to Sunnyside only to discover that Washingtin Irving's house was also closed. Along the way back, a couple of really nice drivers offered us a ride--they thought we were lost international students. What kind people. Anyway, Tarrytown is closed for business in March. Do NOT try to visit any famous places there during spring break...
taking a break on rocks after we go locked out of Sunnyside:
viv munching on a quaker oatmeal bar
sarah is laughing at whatever
anya flashing the camera.
lol actually she's reaching for her phone to call pei and sarah qiao
she would make a grade-A flasher though.
Baking SUGAR COOKIES!!!
viv taking cookies fresh out of the oven.
see the J shaped one? i made that!
putting sprinkles on cookies
i like the translucent sprinkles better. they've got more class.
viv also let me get a picture of her awesome scar. i don't think i can put it up though.
the finished products!
now, does this cookie look like the top half of a ginger bread man or does it look like bullwinkle?
anya holding up a music note.
i've got pictures of her devouring cookies. they are very attractive. ask me for them!
viv bullies me into letting her use my camera to take pictures of me.
this was taken against my will.
actually, these people all banded together and gave me a collective middle-finger.
made me feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside.
sarap led the revolt!
Peking duck:
well, since we were on mott street, who can resist stopping by tenren?
second time i've been there this spring break.
nice haircut, pei!
qiao and anya split a green tea.
how does sarah manage to look qute in every photo?
-__- me jealous
they try to unfurl their napkins at the same time.
epic fail.
surprisingly anya does not order a soda this time. she is content with water and tea.
ahhh, tonight's star attraction!
mr. peking over here is calling out to me...
can't resist....
i'm sorry rheesoo, but ducks are not too cute to eat. they are too yummy to leave undisturbed
a picture of everyone together.
teresa, you get to meet a new friend.
as do you, pei.
where's MY kiss on the cheek?!?!
this is discrimination! why does anya get special treatment?!
